Each piece of Leonine Design jewelry                        
                                                     is beaded by hand and the ceramic components
                                                  are carefully sculpted.  Glazes are then painted                                                 onto each piece and kiln fired.                                     

                                       Certain colors are achieved by repeating this         
                                       process many times;  regardless of the glaze formula,     
          each firing greatly affects the color and texture of the ceramic surfaces.
   Opening the kiln is always a surprise, as the outcome of a firing
     can't ever be fully predicted.  Each finished design reflects this
                 unique process and I try to take cues from the unexpected.
